A steering wheel is a circular control device used to steer or guide a vehicle, whether it’s a car, truck, or even a remote-controlled model. Positioned at the front of the driver’s seat, the steering wheel allows the driver to control the direction of the vehicle's wheels by rotating it left or right. Typically made of materials like plastic, metal, or leather, steering wheels are designed for comfort and durability.
In traditional vehicles, steering wheels are attached to a steering column that connects to the car's steering mechanism. They may also feature additional controls, such as buttons for audio or cruise control, depending on the vehicle's design. Steering wheels in modern cars often have airbags and ergonomic features for ease of use.
For toy cars, simulators, or RC vehicles, steering wheels can be simple, smaller replicas that give the user a more interactive and immersive experience when controlling the vehicle.
